The Loan Assistant position will report directly to the VP, Loan Administration to support and assist the Loan Officer (referred to as RM, Lender or Loan Officer) in his or her business location.
Detailed Job Duties:
- Assist the loan officer in gathering pre-approval documentation from the borrower.
- Contact all past dues.
- Coordinate matured loan documentation and collect for renewal.
- Prepare and collect work order and attachments and third party contact information.
- Customer Liaison.
- Assist loan officer in clearing exceptions.
- Assist loan officer in tax service issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or related field preferred.
- Minimum 2-3 years’ work experience in banking, specifically in lending and/or loan operations required.
- Thorough understanding of loan documentation required.
- Proficient computer skills to include MS Word and Excel.
- Must demonstrate superior attention to detail.
- Strong organization skills necessary.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment.
- Knowledge of LaserPro preferred but not required.
